Execution of the project for construction of railway bridge over river Amyderya in region of town Atamurat in Turkmenistan within the framework of Mutual executive order of President of Ukraine L. Kuchma and President of Turkmenistan S. Niyazov dated October 4, 2000 «About construction and financing of investment projects of national use in Turkmenistan». The design length of the bridge is 1415 m., and the construction time was 42 months.

Since second six months period of year 2001 main subcontractors of BC «UkrAsiaBuild» and DK «Ukrtransstroi» have completed works and supplies as follows:

• design and research works, including geodetic survey of bridge approach area and bridge of total area 152 hectare;
  
• geological drilling for 15 foundations of the bridge and concrete stabilization banks with volumes of above 5 000 r. m, drilling up to 100 m long holes; development of working documentation for construction of piers, four intermediate bearers and steel superstructures;
  
• delivery of materials and structures for construction of foundations of banking footings and bored piles;
  
• supply of drilling equipment, machinery, equipment and materials for construction of temporary structures, concrete-mixing plants, creation of construction bases on the left bank of river Amyderya.

At present there is a subsidiary company established in Turkmenistan as a specializing construction unit within the frame of BC «UkrAsiaBuild». Its specialists took part in construction of BAM, reconstruction of Transsib, and the construction of bridges in Ukraine. Working with this unit are operators of drilling machines and heavy cranes with nearly 15 years of experience. The majority of the executives and employees of the unit have been awarded with medals and orders for high labor achievements.

During visit of President of Ukraine in April 29-30, 2002 order of financing of construction of bridge till end of the year was determined.

Administration of Head office of «Turkmendemirellary», contractors of - DK «Ukrtransstroi» and BC «UkrAsiaBuild», as well as representatives of Embassy of Ukraine in Turkmenistan headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary V.P. Chuprun visited with inspection construction site on the right bank of the river Amyderya. After the visit, there was a meeting with president of Turkmenistan S. Niyazov, who appraised completed works and promised to aid in solution of financing issues.
