With the help and support from the Embassy of Ukraine in Spain it was possible to secure the participation of Ukrainian companies in the reconstruction of Iraq, and effectively conduct the conference. Ministers of Iraq, Spain, and other countries, as well as other prominent figures took part in the conference. Representatives of Ukrainian companies also took part in the conference of the donor countries, and conducted series of meetings with Iraq government officials.

The main topic of the conference was the investment opportunities in Iraq. Special notes were taken about the recent positive changes, economic and legislation reforms, enabling successful organization and completion of various projects.

Representatives of Ukrainian companies prepared a number of proposals, concerning the use of Ukrainian resources and capabilities in reviving Iraq's infrastructure (supplying pipes of various diameters, constructing pipelines, constructing and reconstructing airdromes, seaports, renovating and optimizing new and existing wells).
