From the 1st to the 4th of September 2003, in
connection with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine official visit to
Iraq, a business delegation from Ukraine visited Kuwait. The
delegation was headed by representatives of two Ukrainian companies:
Dr. Farenik (the head of the board of directors of BC UkrAsiaBuild)
and Mr. Goncharuk (a vice-president of Interpipe corporation).

During the trip, the delegation held negotiations concerning
bilateral collaboration and the possibilities of realizing joint
projects with the representative of the US Corps of Engineers, who
are responsible for RIO realization, and the Senior Management at
KBR, the main contractor of RIO. There were also held several
meetings with various large-scale state companies of Kuwait.

During the meetings foreign companies and organizations directly
connected with RIO emphasized their great appreciation of Ukraine’s
contributions to the coalition in Iraq.
